DokuFest, the International Documentary and Short Film Festival, is the largest film festival in Kosovo. Every year the festival fills cinemas and makeshift venues in the historic center of Prizren with a selection of more than 200 hand-picked films from around the world.
In 2002, DokuFest was founded with the vision of revitalizing cinema and enriching the cultural landscape of Prizren. Over the years, it has evolved into the leading documentary and short film festival in Southeast Europe. Notably, since 2019, DokuFest has earned the award-winning status of a BAFTA-qualifying festival for short films, and in 2022, it was designated as a nominating festival for the prestigious European Film Academy.
The festival spans nine exciting days packed with fascinating events, including documentary photography exhibitions, engaging debates, informative masterclasses and live musical performances. DokuFest offers a diverse and inclusive experience, celebrating the art of filmmaking, fostering dialogue and appreciation for the cinematic arts in the region.
The International Festival of Open Theater - PRIZREN FEST, is dedicated to promoting the development of theater art and offering a unique cultural experience to the audience by organizing an annual festival of open-air theaters. The artistic fields that were touched in 2022 (First Edition) and are part of the program for 2023 (Second Edition) are: theater, dance theater, music, cultural heritage, applied arts, poetry, literature, etc. Activities take place throughout the city, utilizing the appropriate spaces that are available in Prizren including public and private spaces: Prizren Castle, Lumbardhi Cinema, Hammam, Prizren League, Museum, Mosques, Churches, Temples, Stone Bridge and other squares. The first edition of the festival was held for 5 full nights in the beautiful city of Prizren/Kosovo, where it hosted many professional artists from Italy, Romania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Albania and Turkey. Meanwhile, the second edition (July 2023), was held for 7 full nights, bringing many artists and professionals from around the world.
The Rock & Blues Festival in the city of Prizren is inspired by the very beginnings of rock and blues music in Kosovo, taking into account the common elements of folk music, memory, history, the sublime feeling of love and revolt. With the sole purpose of promoting our tourist potential, through the Rock and Blues Music Festival in Prizren we will bring to the stage the most popular national/regional and international bands and artists of rock and blues music.
Rock&blues will have as its main objective the education of generations in this genre as well as contribute to the promotion of tourism as an untapped potential that will help the local economy.
The first edition was held on June 10-11 in Prizren, where for three nights many music groups from Kosovo, Albania, the region and the world performed. The goal is for this festival to become traditional and be organized every year in the beautiful city of Prizren.

One of the main moments of "Bunar Fest" is the tire launch in the Lumbardhi River. The participants, equipped with different tires, throw tires into the river water and follow the melting tires below creating a panorama of colors and attractive movements. This ritual is a way of having fun, a sense of interaction with nature and a way to cope with Prizren's warm July. Bunar Fest is more than a festival - it is an expression of respect for ancient heritage and a way to bring people together to celebrate and feel part of an early history that lives on in a new way and innovative.
